Hey! Sorry to keep you waiting again. It's been super busy, and a lot has happened. Firstly, do you like the new layout? It's all thanks to Syzmon from FurjanDesign. If you visit, keep in mind the site is adults only. Also while you're there, you might notice some other screenshots from FuTanya. Speaking of adult content, you may have noticed some screen snips at the top. Many of you may already be familiar with shiory (check him out on Pixiv.) His work is incredible, and he's contributing as the main artist for FuTanya. Currently, he's having some issues with Patreon, so show him some love. But since Patreon banned him, you doubly know he makes good shit!

These past couple months, I've been doing a lot of writing and h-scene stuff. I made a document to outline the progression of the lewd scenes in the game. 

Sexy Stories

Right now, the writing for the sex scenes is about 85% complete. Below is a chart I made to help illustrate how things are going. Anything that says 90% is basically finished, I just need to give it one final pass/proofread. 50% means it's completely written, but needs to be reviewed, edited, or adjusted. It may seem backwards to mark something as 50% when it's nearly finished, but I'd rather give myself a false sense of "I have a lot of work to do, I need to get to it!" versus "I'm almost done, so I can relax!" Additionally, I've hired some help for the writing to speed things up a bit. When s writer finishes a scene, it's only marked 50% complete. I want to do my own pass to ensure it is narratively cohesive with the rest of the story, and to prevent a sudden shift in tone that could occur from a different writer.

Final Art & Story boarding

Previously, I had a massive weak link in my storyboarding process. It slowed progress to a crawl and was just a huge headache. That issue was resolved allowing me to progress much more swiftly, so the remaining scenes awaiting storyboards will be finished a lot faster.

While I'm story boarding, I basically plan out doujin pages to compliment the writing. I have to scale it back from a typical doujin, but I don't want it too scaled back. As I mentioned in previous posts, the aim isn't a typical VN with a single static image accompanying 200 lines of text. The goal is to present everything as if you were reading a digital doujin. Converting a VN style/length scene into a doujin-esque format is a bit of a challenge, but it's been a fun time.

As far as the final art, shiory works very quickly. Now that we got the issue resolved with the storyboarding process, he can work freely on the art without a lot of delays. The progress chart up above was only created a little over a month ago, and we're already blazing through it at a nice pace. 

Special Event!

This weekend I'm excited to be attending Futaket 32! While FuTanya won't be making an official appearance there, I was given permission to do some advertising. So in traditional Japanese fashion, I've had some free tissue packs made up to give to attendees. I've never done anything like this before, so I'm really nervous about it, but I've got to start somewhere!

Finally, kept promises and broken promises... I'm sorry, but I didn't get to do more character introductions in this update. That will have to wait, but what I DID manage to squeeze in are some tiny sneak peaks from some h-scenes (at the top)! I don't want to spoil too much or present it out of context, so yeah... tiny taste!
